NASHVILLE (AP) — For some people, the only banjo player they can name is Steve Martin, and the International Bluegrass Music Association wants to thank him for that. The association says it will give Martin a distinguished achievement award for introducing fans of his film and TV work to bluegrass music. Martin will get his award on October 1 in Raleigh, North Carolina, during the International Bluegrass Music Awards. Earls of Leicester (LES’-ter) lead the awards with five nominations.
