CINCINNATI (AP) — One of the first female country and rock singers has died. Bonnie Lou died at a Cincinnati nursing home early Tuesday at the age of 91. Lou’s biggest hit was “Daddy-O,” which hit number 14 in 1955. She recorded country songs before getting into rockabilly. She became a TV host for the NBC show “Midwestern Hayride” and later for country music shows in southern Ohio. Lou is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
