NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — You often hear people who are in the running to win a Grammy say it isn’t about winning — it’s just an honor to be nominated. But for some members of Little Big Town, the big thrill — is hitting the stores after being nominated. Kimberly Schlapman says she’s sure that fellow group member Karen Fairchild thought about going shopping as soon as she heard the group was up for a Grammy. And she’s right. Fairchild says she started texting Kacey Musgraves and Ashley Monroe — and they decided to “set a girls’ day for shopping.” Jimi Westbrook jokes that if those plans hold, Little Big Town might end up broke.
