Jennifer Nettles Cast in “Coat of Many Colors”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jennifer Nettles will play Dolly Parton’s mother in the upcoming NBC holiday special, “Coat of Many Colors.” Rick Schroder will play Parton’s father. It’s based on Parton’s song, “Coat of Many Colors,” and it’s set in the Great Smokey Mountains in 1955, but it’s not a direct telling of Parton’s life.
