HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Jamie Lynn Spears is no longer an actress. Spears says she has devoted herself full-time to country music. She says having an established name opens as many doors as it closes when it comes to country music, but she wants to prove that she’s not doing it as a career move. You’d think with Britney Spears as her sister, Jamie Lynn would have been a pop singer instead of country. Jamie Lynn says in spite of her time in Los Angeles doing the TV show “Zoey 101,” she is a Louisiana girl. She says the real question is why her sister went pop. Jamie Lynn Spears is part of this weekend’s Country Thunder concert in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
