HEREFORD, Texas (AP) — Country singer Daron Norwood has been found dead in his apartment in Hereford, Texas. Police do not suspect foul play and the cause of death is pending. He was 49. Norwood was last seen with friends on Tuesday night. His landlord stopped by to check on him, let himself in and found Norwood’s body in a bedroom. Police say there are no signs of trauma. Norwood had a few minor country hits in the early 1990s with “Cowboys Don’t Cry” and “If It Wasn’t For Her I Wouldn’t Have You.”
