WASHINGTON (AP) — Willie Nelson is in some pretty elite company. Last night he became the first country artist to be awarded the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The honor comes from the Library of Congress. Previous recipients include Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney and Carole King. At a tribute concert in Washington, Nelson said a lot of things have happened in his 82 years, but this is one of the best. Nelson performed, as did Jamey Johnson and Alison Krauss, among others. The concert will air on PBS in January.
