NASHVILLE (AP) — Miranda Lambert is giving a hand up to women who want to make it in the music business. Lambert has announced a $40,000 scholarship for a female student at Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. Lambert says she wants to break down the doors to women in music and empower them to achieve their goals. She performed a concert yesterday in Nashville to raise funds for the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund.
